About
The Free Library of Philadelphia enriches our city and region. People of all ages and backgrounds value our neighborhood libraries as havens for learning, cultural activities, and social interaction. A library is a safe space where people, ideas, and communities can grow.
While the City of Philadelphia provides funds for the operations of the Free Library system, including staffing at our 54 locations, the Free Library Foundation supports many of the Library's incredible programs and initiatives, including Summer Reading, One Book, One Philadelphia, and after-school programs.
The Free Library Shop offers products based on the mission and collections of the Free Library of Philadelphia. Proceeds from the sale of shop merchandise benefit the Free Library of Philadelphia.
